BiographyStewart Kavanagh was born and raised in Lancashire, United Kingdom. He worked for the Local Council in Rochsdale for a short period before joining the British Army - the Coldstream Guards. Kavanagh later joined the Hong Kong Police Force and was posted to various positions and locations. At the time of the interview, he had been residing in Hong Kong for 50 years. Kavanagh speaks fluent Cantonese.
